Reckson and SL Green kick off Earth Day as title sponsor of "White Plains Earth Week"

Reckson, a division of SL Green Realty Corp., as title sponsor for White Plains Earth Week, participated in the city's launch of this four-day sustainable Earth Day event that took place on April 22nd at White Plains city hall. Mayor Tom Roach, together with Jason Black, SL Green director of sustainability, whose remarks were also broadcast on city hall's website, addressed more than 50 attendees comprised of local residents, businesses and government leaders. Simultaneously, Reckson held a clean-up event for its employees and tenants, at White Plain's Delfino Park, situated along the Mamaroneck River, one of the three headwaters for Silver Lake. White Plains Earth Week culminates on April 26th with "Sustain White Plains," a downtown open air street fair featuring sustainable exhibitors, organic food, technology and artwork created by 3D chalk artist Anthony Cappetto.
