REBNY will recognize three winners for 2011, The Most Creative Deal in Manhattan, The Retail Deal Which Most Significantly Benefits the Manhattan Retail Market, and The Most Important and Creative Retail Deal in the Outer Boroughs.
"The selection process for the Retail Deal of the Year awards always leaves the judges with difficult decisions to make because of the competitive nature of New York City's retail real estate market," said Steven Spinola, REBNY president. "I wish the best of luck to all of this year's contestants and look forward to celebrating this year's winners in June."
Last year, Robin Abrams and Howard Dolch of The Lansco Corp. took home the prize for the Most Creative Retail Deal of the Year for their work with Filene's Basement and Syms Clothing at 530 Fifth Ave. Robert Futterman, Gary Alterman, and Ariel Schuster of Robert K. Futterman and Associates walked away with the Deal that Most Benefits Manhattan award for Fairway Market at 240 East 86th St.
Sales and leasing transactions, regardless of size, are eligible, and must reflect ingenuity and professional skill. The deadline to submit a nomination is Tuesday, April 17 at 5 p.m. All contestants must be active REBNY members and all transactions must have been completed by December 31, 2011.
Registration is required to attend The Retail Deal of the Year cocktail party on Tuesday, June 12 at the 101 Club. Please visit www.rebny.com for details.
