Suffern, NY On Thursday, May 4th, The Rockland Business Association (RBA) held their 13th annual Pinnacle Awards and recognition dinner. The Pinnacle Awards program recognizes RBA members who have achieved excellence in six categories: Chairman’s Award for Overall Business Excellence, President’s Award for Service to the RBA, Outstanding Achievement by a Woman in Business, Award for Excellence in Contracting & Development, Outstanding Achievement by a Non-Profit Organization and Award for Corporate Citizenship. The RBA Pinnacle Awards program has grown to be one of the most prominent and best-attended business events in the region.

The Lynmark Group is this year’s recipient of the Award for Excellence in Contracting & Development.  Since its inception 58 years ago, the Lynmark Group believes in the properties they build and the communities that serve those properties. The Lynmark Group is currently developing The Sheldon at Suffern Station, located on Orange Ave. in the downtown area of the village. The Sheldon at Suffern Station will be a multifamily, transit-oriented project that provides residents with immediate access to NJ Transit train service and the many unique and eclectic dining, shopping and other service venues along the area’s Main St.

“The Sheldon will not only provide its residents with luxurious living options and easy access to regional commuter train service, it will help transform the village into one of the best places to live, work, and play,” said president of The Lynmark Group, Joshua Goldstein. “The Sheldon as another example of my family’s continued commitment to the economic and community vitality of this region.”

The Small Business Commerce Association has twice recognized RBA on a statewide level as a Best of Business Honoree and has received NY’s 2001 Small Business Not-For-Profit of the Year.  The RBA also won a Regional Achievement Award in 2009 from Pattern for Progress and was named The Business Council’s First Platinum Level Chamber of the Year in 2010.

“It means a lot to my family that the Rockland Business Association is honoring the endeavors of my late father Sheldon Goldstein, my son Joshua, and the entire Lynmark Team,” said Jeffrey Goldstein, President of Multifamily Management Services and Arco Management. “The RBA is well respected throughout the state and this honor validates the hard work of the Lynmark Group and the impact it has made on our community.”
