Raskob and Chang of The Kaufman Organization secure 2,335 s/f lease at 450 Seventh Avenue

New York, NY  The Kaufman Organization, a full-service commercial real estate firm, has secured a 2,335 s/f lease on the 11th floor for LSE Foundation, a London-based, nonprofit that implements alumni relations programs for the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) at Nelson Tower, 450 Seventh Ave. “We are pleased that LSE Foundation has decided to expand their presence in New York City at 450 Seventh Ave.,” said Steven Kaufman, president at Kaufman. “The building’s prime location in central Midtown Manhattan makes it a highly-attractive office space for organizations that have a far-reaching network of members.” Established in 1993, LSE Foundation identifies key projects and priorities of funding for the London School of Economics and Political Science, which has a network of alumni across 190 countries. LSE Foundation has used its expertise in research, student support, and public engagement to partner with notable organizations such as the Rockefeller Foundation, Pears Foundation and the International Inequalities Institute. Kaufman’s Barbara Raskob and Yvonne Chang represented the landlord, 450 7th Ave. Associates, LLC, in the transaction, while Christopher Helgesen of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant, LSE Foundation. Asking rent for the five-year lease was in the high $60’s per s/f. 450 Seventh Avenue is a 46-story, 520,000 s/f, commercial building centrally located in Midtown Manhattan between West 34 St. and West 35 St. at Seventh Ave. The building features a renovated and elegant lobby, 24/7 hour security, controlled card access, and tenant-controlled air conditioning. The tower is situated near a variety of transportation offerings, providing tenants the walkability to major subway lines, Penn Station, Port Authority, and Grand Central Terminal.
