Bronx, NY Racanelli Construction Company, Inc. continues to be  the “go-to” construction resource for Raymour & Flanigan, a leading furniture retailer within the NY metro area.

Earlier this year, serving as a general contractor, Racanelli Construction completed a Raymour & Flanigan store located on Bartow Ave. in Co-Op City. This project was built in an active Bay Plaza Shopping Center and involved increasing the height of the building’s parapet (i.e., a barrier which is an extension of the wall at the edge of a roof or other structure) and modifying its façade.

In August, Racanelli expects to complete another store on Richmond Ave. in Staten Island, which will also involve increasing the height of the parapet and modifying the building façade. Additionally, there will be a relocation of the building’s entrance and closing of an existing first floor access, as well as increasing the second floor portion of the showroom by an additional 12,150 s/f.

More recently, the company is serving as general contractor for the retailer’s Harlem project which will begin shortly. It consists of a 40,000 s/f on the second floor of a 200,000 s/f building located at 100 West 125th St. in Manhattan. The $1.5 million project involves an extensive tenant fit out with partitions, new ceiling and finishes.

Over the past decade, Racanelli Construction has been a reliable resource to Raymour & Flanigan for stores located across the New York-Metro area including stores in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, and Patchogue on Long Island. Each of the Raymour & Flanigan stores is built to its signature new look. It features higher parapets in the center with thin brick on the piers in the center and on the end of the building, surrounded by Spectrum Brown Exterior Insulating and Finishing System (EIFS) in between the piers with a Sto White band. On top of each pier is a new cornice design.

Racanelli Construction’s Raymour & Flanigan project team members include: Marty Racanelli, project executive; Mike Marshall senior project manager; Rachelle Felicio, project manager; and Greg Marshall, super.

Most people think of St. Patrick’s Day as a fun footnote on the calendar. In construction logistics, however, it’s a full-scale operational variable — especially if your work touches major metro areas with major parades and, let’s call it what it is, enthusiastic celebrants.
