Racanelli Construction receives ACLD employer of the year award

Melville, NY Racanelli Construction Company, Inc., a leading construction management, general contractor and design/build resource for commercial, industrial, retail, medical, pre-engineered and multi-unit residential projects, was recently recognized by the ACLD, a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit agency whose mission is to provide opportunities to children and adults with autism, learning and developmental disabilities, with its Employer of the Year” for its leadership in employing people with disabilities in the workplace. The award was presented at the ACLD’s annual Employment Recognition Breakfast.

According to the ACLD, “Our annual Employment Recognition Breakfast recognizes exemplary companies who are leading the way by competitively employing people with disabilities in the workplace. Awards are given in the following categories: Advocate of the Year, Employer of the Year and Business Leadership.” In addition to recognizing businesses, the event also acknowledges employees with disabilities for their dedication and commitment to the workforce and their employers. Awards are given annually for Vocational Achievement and Longevity.

Carmine Martuscello, Racanelli Construction’s director, who accepted the “Employer of the Year Award” on behalf of Racanelli Construction, said, “We have had the great pleasure to employ Alina Lopez for four years now and she has been an outstanding employee. She serves across various departments providing administrative support and everyone here at Racanelli Construction has nothing but the highest praise for her and the contributions she makes to our company. Her recognition by the ACLD is well-deserved and we could not be more proud of her.”
