PWC NY Salutes Women of Achievement in AEC Industry

Manhattan, NY The New York Chapter of Professional Women in Construction (PWC NY) will hold its annual Salute to Women of Achievement, which honors professionals at the highest levels of the AEC industry, on Wednesday, September 18th. The dinner will take place in NYC at The View at Battery Park from 5:30pm-8:30pm. The honorees are selected for their impressive career accomplishments and recognized for their commitment to lead and mentor. 

“Shining the spotlight on the successful careers of the honorees is one of the best ways to show women there is a place in the AEC industry for them,” says Gina Rivera, executive director of Professional Women in Construction New York. “Bringing women together to learn and grow from each other is a main focus of PWC.”

The 2024 Women of Achievement are:

Rachel Birnboim, co-managing principal at Perkins Eastman, where she focuses on healthcare architecture. She believes collaboration and understanding others’ perspectives and needs are the keys to success. 

Deborah Bradley, president and founder, Bradley Construction. She is committed to teaching young women entering the construction industry and helping other MWBE firms to prosper. 

Indhira Figuereo Blaney, senior vice president, national aviation market leader, WSP engineering and design firm. She serves as a role model as she leads her team in all aviation new business development.

Tickets for the Salute to Women of Achievement are $350 for PWC members and $500 for nonmembers. In addition, a variety of sponsorship packages are available, which include tickets as well as logo placement on all marketing materials and social media promotion. 

Gold Sponsor: $8,000, 10 tickets, prime table placement

Podium Sponsor: $7,000, 8 tickets

Silver Sponsor: $5,000, 5 tickets

Bronze Sponsor (MWBE): $1,500, 2 tickets

The PWC NY Salute to Women of Achievement committee members are Schillivia Baptiste, PE, president and CEO, Laland Baptiste; Raquel Diaz, vice president, Gilbane Building Company; Barbara Durante, CPA, Grassi Advisors and Accountants; and Marilisa Stigliano, VP, corporate operations, STV.

PWC’s members represent a broad spectrum of the industry that serves real estate owners, developers, facilities and property managers and public agencies. They include general construction and specialty contractors, architectural and engineering firms, environmental services, and suppliers. 

Because the core client industries have many needs, PWC also draws representatives from the services sector: law and accounting firms, insurance/surety and bonding companies, banks and financial services, graphic designers, printers, computer consultants, travel agencies, marketing specialists and more.
