The chapter held a very successful Vendor Expo at the New York Athletic Club on Tuesday September 20. The event was well attended and provided a showcase for our service providers. In addition to being able to mingle with and see the latest products and services our service providers have, participants were given an in-depth presentation by the Mayor's Office of Sustainability on the Greater Greener Building Law and its impact on the City.
Facility managers were admitted free to the expo and presentation and were eligible for drawings for prizes including an IPAD and a $1,000 gift card for travel. Every prize was awarded with many participants leaving at the end of the expo quite happy with their prize!
I would like to thank the programs committee, and in particular Gail Frank, Abbie Golding and J. Strong for planning and managing this event. It was good to see other committees participating as well, supporting the event.
Our service providers are fellow IFMA/NYC members and have continued to support our Association during this difficult economy. We are very appreciative of their support and hope to continue to work together to our mutual benefit.
Coming Soon...World Workplace is just around the corner and this year's event looks to be one of the best. The chapter will be well represented by both the board and other members, both practitioners and service providers. If you can, try to attend. There are lots of interesting products, seminars and events to keep you busy.
