Pincus and Ikes promoted at H2M

Melville, NY H2M architects + engineer has promoted Michele Pincus, Esq. to deputy market director of real estate and Robert Ikes, RA, LEED AP, NYSCEO, NCIDQ, to deputy discipline director for private sector architecture.

Michele Pincus

Pincus who will step into the role of deputy market director of real estate. Deputy market directors play a critical role in H2M’s organizational structure, from assisting in the development of each market’s vision and growth plan to fostering new and existing relationships with clients to monitoring progress across all disciplines within the market.

Pincus has more than 35 years of experience in real estate, having worked in both the private and public sectors on issues involving land use zoning, development, and permitting. As an attorney, Pincus has represented the City of New York in litigation on land use issues. She spent five years at the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) as the Associate General Counsel managing LIPA’s real estate issues. She was also a partner in and worked for several prestigious law firms. Throughout her career she has focused largely on zoning and land use matters and has become an expert in the real estate market throughout the tri-state region. Since joining H2M, Pincus has worked diligently to further enhance the company’s real estate market and has assisted clients in achieving their goals on several key projects and initiatives.

She is a three-time Long Island Business News “Top 50 Women” award winner and a member of its Hall of Fame. More recently she was recognized as “Ones to Watch in Commercial Real Estate” and the “Who’s Who: Women in Professional Services” from Long Island Business News. Pincus is an active member and supporter of several distinguished organizations. She is currently vice chair for the board of directors of the Real Estate Institute at Stony Brook University. Pincus previously served as president and continues to support the Women Economic Developers of Long Island. She is also actively involved in the Long Island Real Estate Group, Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island, and Pink Aid Long Island.

Robert Ikes

Ikes is the new deputy discipline director for private sector architecture. Ikes will continue to serve as office director of our New York City branch but, as deputy discipline director, Ikes will work on overseeing, developing, and executing a strategy in the private sector architecture discipline to boost our already thriving real estate market. He will develop a plan to maximize work sharing opportunities and will assist with resolving project-related issues.

Ikes has over 20 years of experience in architecture specializing in private sector work,  sustainable design, and code compliance. He is a talented designer and an out-of-the-box thinker. He has managed design teams and consultants in a variety of project sizes, types, and complexities, including new ground-up building design, additions, adaptive reuse projects, and interior tenant space design. His work already spans several of H2M’s markets: Real estate, education, municipal, and public agencies. He is a Registered Architect, a New York State Code Enforcement Official, LEED AP, and is certified through the National Council of Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ).

As a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, Rob is committed to giving back to the community, a trait exemplified by his receipt of New York Real Estate Journal’s 2020 “Ones to Watch” award.
