What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of?

I represented a group of Hong Kong and Israeli investors in connection with their investment of 50% of the equity in a ground up mixed-use development project, “The Axel” building, located at Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn, NY, consisting of 284 residential rental units, and commercial spaces.

I co-counseled and represented Elad Group, as seller, as part of a $90,000,000 bulk sale to Tishman Realty Partners LLC, of 70 residential units in Elad Group’s Charlie West condominium at 505 West 43th St., New York, NY.

Tell us about a mentor or role model that has influenced your career choices?

I started my career in Israel as a litigator with the leading and prominent Israeli firm, S. Horowitz & Co. That is where I was “schooled” and acquired the fundamentals of my skillset as an attorney. I had been taught to treat our profession and practice of law very carefully and diligently by following and abiding by the highest standards. Throughout my career and until this very day, I strive to attain the highest level of skill with such well-rooted principles in mind.

What 3 skills do you consider the most important to be successful in your industry?

1. High emotional intelligence and well developed and sharp social skills; the ability to understand and empathize with people’s motivations and emotions;

2. Maintain passion and curiosity about the law.

3. Be passionate and intrigued by the meeting of when the law meets and is applied to reality.

What is one lesson that you had to learn the hard way?

Short cuts take a toll and shouldn’t be part of good planning.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

Exercising, jogging and reading. I am an avid reader and a big fan of the New Yorker. I also spend a lot of time Facetiming with my mother daily. She lives in Israel and misses me dearly.
