Title: Property Manager

Company Name: Newmark Real Estate

List 2-3 real estate associations or organizations that you are currently a member of:

  • CREW New York & CREW Network
  • IREM (Greater NY Chapter)
  • ULI (via Project REAP)

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of being super intentional about my career path and putting in the work to enhance my knowledge and skills. In less than 18 months I earned my CPM designation as well as NYS brokers license; joined CREWNY where I’m an active member of several committees and hold leadership positions; successfully completed the first year of my MBA program at Baruch; and recently made a transition from residential property management into commercial property management.

Who was/is your mentor and how did s/he influence/help you in your career?

My mentor isn’t a specific person, but instead the group of women of CREW New York who have all welcomed me into this amazing organization and provided me with lots of encouragement and support. I came to CREW with the goal of honing my leadership skills and enhancing my career. I found that in CREWNY and much more. In less than a year as a member, I have accomplished some major personal and professional development goals as well as a career change.

How do you contribute to your community or your profession?

I’m passionate about helping women advance in CRE.

What led you to your current profession?

As with most people who end up in property management, I just “landed” here. I always had an interest in real estate and after giving real estate sales a try and realizing how cutthroat and competitive it was, I decided to find a career path in the industry that would provide more stability and stumbled into property management. I started as a leasing consultant, worked my way up to property manager, and aspire to make a transition into asset management or real estate development in the future.

Top three things on your bucket list:

Own a personal portfolio of investment properties; visit every continent; compete nationally in pole competitions – I love all things aerial fitness.

Favorite quote:

“Progress is not achieved by luck or by accident, but by working on oneself daily.” –Epictetus
