What was your greatest professional accomplishment in 2020?
We put a 15-acre development parcel under contract which we have been working on for two years. It will be the site for our next mixed-use development.

What was your most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2020?
We brokered a 26,000 s/f, build to suit building for medical space on behalf of our client Retina-Vitreous Surgeons of CNY, P.C. This transaction allowed us to use all of our real estate skills. Starting with an analysis of lease, buy and renovate and new constructions scenarios, we worked with the client for site selection, construction contract negotiations with the developer and finally selecting and negotiating the construction to permanent financing.

What are your predictions for commercial real estate in 2021?
With the uncertainty and volatility we can expect in 2021 there will many opportunities of great deals for the brokers, buyer’s, tenants, landlords and tenants whom act quickly and have the proper representation and market knowledge.

What was the most challenging part of working during the pandemic?
Our clients retail, office and industrial, each working with a different set of projects from the state and county which were constantly changing. Trying to get their deals done and adjust our systems and procedure to work within their limitations was challenging.

What aspects of working from home did you enjoy most?
Flexibility of my work schedule was nice. Fortunately, we upgraded our software and hardware which allows to work from anywhere and have access to all of the forms and resources we use to run our business.
