Oliveri of Grassi & Co. named to 40 Under 40 Group

Carl Oliveri, CPA, CFE, MBA and audit principal at Grassi & Co., was recently named as a member of Long Island Business News' "40 Under 40 Class of 2012." Award recipients were chosen based on criteria including leadership in business, support for the Island's not-for-profit organizations, and commitment to the communities that ultimately support them and their businesses. "As a native Long Islander, to be named one of LIBN's Top '40 Under 40' is a tremendous honor," said Oliveri. "I feel the firm represents everything the Long Island business community is about - progressiveness, innovation and morality. It is a great honor to be a part of the Grassi & Co. team while earning this award." Oliveri joined Grassi & Co. in June of 2011 as an audit principal. He possesses over 13 years of experience working with construction contractors, particularly with regards to financial statement preparation (audit, reviews and compilations), income tax preparation, cash flow, and operations forecasting. His other industry exposure includes real estate management and development. Carl's practical experience in litigation and cost claim support, as well as expertise with related negotiations, has made him an instrumental addition to the Grassi & Co. Always looking to support his community, Oliveri led the Canstruction Committee for Grassi & Co this year. Canstruction is a charity event where teams of professionals in the design and construction industry come together to build structures out of canned food, with the cans ultimately donated to charity to combat hunger.
