O'Neill of Cushman & Wakefield handles AT&T lease for 2,000 s/f

According to Cushman & Wakefield Retail Services, (C&W) AT&T Mobility has signed a new retail lease at 254 Canal St. AT&T Mobility signed a 10-year lease for 2,000 s/f on the ground floor of the building, located on the southwest corner of Lafayette St. The space is currently occupied by Bank of America, which recently relocated to the corner of Canal St. and Broadway. Michael O'Neill of C&W represented the landlord of 254 Canal St., 254 Associates LLC, in marketing the available space and in lease negotiations with AT&T Mobility. "Despite the economic downturn, the number of quality retail opportunities on Canal Street continues to be extremely limited," said O'Neill, a director at C&W. "AT&T Mobility secured an excellent location at 254 Canal St. in what will be a spectacular market for them." Built in 1857, 254 Canal Street is a five-story, landmarked building. What noteworthy transactions or deals from this year best exemplified key market trends or shifts? I would like to say there was an outstanding transaction for me this past year but 2024 was more a culmination of long-term relationships, most of which continued to transact. Deals were smaller in many cases but we saw robust leasing both on the agency side as well as on the tenant side.
