NYSSPE to host 2008 holiday party Dec. 10

The New York Chapter of the New York Society of Professional Engineers is hosting its 2008 Holiday Dinner Party on Wednesday, December 10, at the Cornell Club. The guest of honor is the acting commissioner of the New York City Department of Environmental Protection Agency Steven Lawitts. Lawitts will speak about the future of the New York City DEP and the proposed major capital programs in its pipeline. The program is sponsored by Tutoring By Engineers, Inc., a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering future engineers. This party and its program will be highly informative for developers, property owners, asset managers and design professionals and provide an opportunity to learn more and to participate in the importance of tutoring and role models in engineering education.
