The N.Y. Society of Professional Engineers (NYSSPE) is inviting design and real estate professionals to their April 29 dinner lecture on construction site safety and the new N.Y.C. building code. The lecture will feature deputy director Gus Sirakis, PE of the city's dept. of buildings, office of technical certification and research. Sirakis will speak on the new building code loading requirements based on ASCE7 as well as the difference between Article 19 and Chapter 33 of the new code addressing construction site safety.
