When did you discover NYREJ and what was your title and company name at that time?

Associate at Baer Marks & Upham LLP in 1996.

How has NYREJ helped you, your firm or your industry?

NYREJ has elevated my professional profile and enhanced my credibility as a CRE professional. Profiles and thought leadership opportunities to publish articles on critical industry issues were beneficial for my career growth and development. More importantly, however, is NYREJ’s long-standing and transformative support of women in the industry. Among other things, its periodic WIRE (Women in Real Estate) series has featured countless women in the industry, providing public-facing profile-raising opportunities in an industry which STILL predominantly features men as conference speakers and contributors. NYREJ’s support of organizations supporting CRE women’s advancement, such as CREWNY, has been strong and consistent.

Most memorable “15 minutes of fame” in NYREJ:

Approximately 9 years ago, I was fortunate to be interviewed in studio by NYREJ Radio hosts, Eric Wilson and Rick Kaplan, thanks to NYREJ’s publishing director, Kristine Wolf. The interview focused on infrastructure and its various issues, challenges and developments. This was in conjunction with a series of infrastructure-focused articles I authored and were published by NYREJ. The combined experience was professionally invaluable and personally exciting!
