NYC mayoral candidate Yang tours Crystal Window factory

Crystal President Steve Chen and candidate Yang

Queens, NY On Thursday, February 25th, 2021, Andrew Yang, New York City mayoral candidate and former Presidential candidate, visited and toured the headquarters and main production facility of national manufacturer Crystal Window & Door Systems. During his visit to one of the largest window manufacturers in the nation, Yang had the opportunity to view in person the operations of Crystal’s 370-employee, 205,000 s/f facility. During conversations with Crystal’s chairman Thomas Chen and president Steve Chen, the candidate learned about the company’s humble beginnings, enormous success, ability to overcome numerous obstacles, and great economic and philanthropic contributions to the city.

“While we do not endorse any specific candidates, it was great to meet with Mr. Yang to familiarize him with the Crystal success story and the business challenges a major New York City manufacturer and employer faces,” said Steve Chen. “The next mayor of New York City will also face many challenges, and the business and manufacturing communities here must be key partners in keeping New York the great city it is.”

Yang’s visit was part of his “NY Recovery Week” 5-Borough tour of businesses throughout the city. New York’s primary elections are in June, with the general election in November of this year.
