Northstar New York Development Group is now Fifth Square Partners

New York-based residential and commercial developer, Northstar New York Development Group, founded in 2002, is now Fifth Square Partners. The firm specializes in high-end residential conversions of historic buildings throughout the northeastern region. "We will continue to advance the reputation built by Northstar for outstanding residential loft conversions in the northeast. We pride ourselves in creating unique, design driven projects that enhance the vitality of neighborhoods," said Greg Belew, co-founder of Fifth Square Partners. "Going forward we will be focused more intently on the New York market, our home base. In addition to conversions we are actively seeking ground-up residential development sites as well as hotel repositioning opportunities." With more than $150 million in development projects in N.Y., Philadelphia, N.J., Baltimore and Conn., Fifth Square Partners has carved out a well-respected reputation in the industry. Recent projects include 344 Bowery, a six-story pre-war residential building offering full-floor lofts, situated in Manhattan's East Village/Noho neighborhood; Friends at BoltonPark, a historic school house condominium conversion, located in the Bolton Hill neighborhood of Baltimore; Arch Street Exchange, a high-end condominium in Philadelphia's renown Loft District; and the recently completed Rombro Lofts, a historic cast-iron residential gem, situated in Baltimore. Fifth Square Partners' latest development is the conversion of the Lewis Steel Products warehouse, a 130,000 s/f building being converted into residential lofts in Brooklyn.
