Nelson joins Rochlin to lead capital markets group

The Rochlin Org. has established a capital markets group focused on investment sales and has hired Bruce Nelson to lead the new unit. Nelson, who since 1992 has been involved in $1 billion of office, industrial, retail, multi-housing and land sales in L.I., Westchester, N.Y.C. and N.J., joined Rochlin as a managing director. He formerly was a was a VP in the Melville office of CBRE and head of the national real estate firm's Long Island Private Capital Group. Nelson's experience includes equity, debt and structured investment transactions. He is a member of the Appraisal Institute and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Hofstra University. Also joining the newly formed division is Austin Mandell, formerly a marketing specialist at the Rallye Automotive Group, in Roslyn. Mandell, a 2012 graduate of the University of Rhode Island, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Studies, will work directly with Nelson on investment sales. Until now, The Rochlin Org. has focused largely on landlord representation, representing such prominent owners as Onyx Equities, SL Green and Green Holland Ventures, Oaktree Capital Management, New England Mutual Life and New York Life, Samson Management, the Bregman Organization and Zelman Realty.
