Modern Spaces appointed new rental and marketing agent for former public school conversion on the Lower East Side

The building owner of 371 Madison St. in the Lower East Side has appointed Modern Spaces as the building's new exclusive rental and marketing agent. The brokerage firm, which has handled sales for over 15 new construction buildings in the New York metropolitan area, is repositioning and rebranding the former P.S. 12 building from condominiums into 117 rental loft units. "We have big plans for this building, including redesigning, adding new amenities and marketing to young professionals in the area," said Eric Benaim, CEO and president of Modern Spaces. "We are confident that these new ideas and strategies will highlight the former school to renters looking to live in the Lower East Side." As part of the plan to revamp the property, Modern Spaces will be working with the developer to design a new website, change the name, create a 5,000 s/f amenity lounge and more to be announced. The building currently features a near Olympic-sized pool, a gym, and two private courtyards.
