East Meadow, NY Nicole Milone joined the litigation practice group at
Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP as an associate.
Prior to joining the firm, Milone was a litigation associate at a law firm in Manhattan where she handled commercial mortgage foreclosures and other real estate related matters such as broker fee disputes. She also served as an intern for the Office of the Nassau County Attorney where she assisted with the Mortgage Foreclosure Clinic at the Nassau County Bar Association and worked with the Nassau County Commission on Human Rights to combat housing and employment discrimination.
Milone earned her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 2011 and her undergraduate degree in English from James Madison University in 2008. While in law school, she worked with the Housing Rights/Law Reform Advocacy Clinic where she participated in the federal anti-discrimination lawsuit against the Village of Farmingdale that resulted in the creation of affordable housing units for displaced Latino residents. She was also a member of the Legal Emergency Aid Project, a group that raised money to travel to New Orleans over their spring break to assist the victims of Hurricane Katrina through volunteer work with the Pro Bono Project.
Milone is admitted to practice in the state of New York and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
