Mascia Dev.'s Campus Gate to operate as hotel; According to president and CEO Mascia

Student housing across the street from Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC) and the Constellation Brands - Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center (CMAC) will open as a hotel during the summer, according to owner of Mascia Development LLC. From June 1st to August15th of this year, Campus Gate at Finger Lakes will operate as Campus Gate Lodging, a 112-room hotel with single, double and triple suites. Mascia Development is adding 10 employees for hotel operations, including front-desk, service and housekeeping staff. The company also is working with the Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce and CMAC to promote the hotel. Campus Gate opened in 2012 at 4350 Lakeshore Dr., directly across from FLCC, offering a convenient off-campus housing option for FLCC students. As a hotel, the facility features amenities not found at other area hotels, including a movie room, a fitness center, and kitchens. "During the college calendar, Campus Gate gives FLCC students affordable, high-quality housing," said Mark Mascia, president and CEO, Mascia Development. "Now, Campus Gate Lodging will serve additional audiences over the summer when the college isn't in session. The hotel's amenities make it ideal for week-long vacationers, and its proximity to CMAC makes it a perfect overnight option for concert-goers."
