Marcus & Millichap promotes Von Der Ahe to SVP investments

Marcus & Millichap named Peter Von Der Ahe a senior vice president investments in the Manhattan office, according to J.D. Parker, first vice president and district manager of the New York region. Most recently, Von Der Ahe was a first vice president investments. "Not only has Peter been one of the top multifamily investment specialists in the Manhattan office for more than a decade, he has taken on a key leadership role among our investment professionals regionally and nationally," said Parker. "In addition, his excellent relationships with a host of institutional investors and local property owners make him an extremely important part of our organization. Peter is well-deserving of this top honor." Currently a member of Marcus & Millichap's Institutional Property Advisors (IPA) division, Von Der Ahe has more than 12 years of investment real estate brokerage experience, with a focus on the New York City multifamily sector. He has represented several major institutional investors, including Aimco, Centerline Properties, TIAA-CREF, the Praedium Group, BlackRock, JP Morgan Asset Management and many others, as well as leading New York City owners and developers. In all, Von Der Ahe has arranged more than 275 transactions on behalf of his clients since joining Marcus & Millichap as an agent in 2002. During his career with Marcus & Millichap, Von Der Ahe has received six National Achievement Awards, eight sales recognition awards and earned membership in the firm's exclusive Chairman's Club in 2012.
