March of Dimes honors industry leaders at annual luncheon

The March of Dimes held its Annual Transportation and Construction Luncheon on September 17 at Cipriani 42nd St. William Gilbane Jr., vice chairman, Gilbane Building Co.; Gary LaBarbera, president, Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater New York; and Christopher Lee, founder and managing partner, Highstar Capital received Service to Humanity Awards in the private, public, and financial sectors, respectively. Thomas Prendergast, chairman and chief executive officer, NYS Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) delivered the keynote address. Jay Badame, president and chief operating officer, Tishman Construction Corp.; Greg Kelly, global chief operating officer, Parsons Brinckerhoff; Rich Amodei, senior vice president, STV; and Richard Anderson, president, New York Building Congress co-chaired the event. Dominick Servedio, executive Chairman, STV and Thomas Diana, Municipal Credit Union are honorary chairman and chairman emeritus, respectively. The event is expected to raise $490,000 to support March of Dimes N.Y. Division.
