I completed my eleventh deal with Aarons (rent to own), of which amongest them was their 2000th store opening. Joe torre was at that opening to dedicate a portrait of Babe Ruth which was commissioned by aarons and is now at the baseball hall of fame. The 2000th store opening was pretty exciting. What was your most notable project, deal or transaction in 2012? : The leasing of 166-10 Archer Avenue,Jamaica Queens NY to Dollar Tree (DEALS). We had several leases out on the property prior and it was nice to finish the project of 17,500 sq ft and 23,000 sq ft of Parking. S & Z represented the Landlord (Benenson development and SRS Retail Services (Erin Grace) represented Dollar Tree. What are your predictions for commercial real estate in 2013? : I have definitely seen an increase in activity. I predict that this will continue. The tenants we represent Aarons. Planet Wings, Goodwill Industries and Premier Pawn and Jewlery are all seeking sites throughout the NY area. We have several Landlords with Vacancies in very Strong Markets that we are seeking tenants for. What are your resolutions for 2013? : I don't do resolutions as they are generally hard to keep.
