According to Mancini·Duffy/TSC firm president Dina Frank, AIA, IIDA will retire August 1st. Frank joined the practice in 1994 and assumed the presidency in 2003.
"Dina and I came to Mancini·Duffy together nearly two decades ago," said Anthony Schirripa, FAIA, chairman of Mancini·Duffy/TSC. "And have worked side by side to build the practice and guide it to its position of strength." He noted especially Frank's creative vision, saying that "while she is an enormously effective leader overall, her greatest and most enduring influence here has been on design, for which she has set and achieved the highest standards. There will be a transition period as Dina helps our existing clients complete their projects. Thereafter, she will focus her efforts on the design of law firms, a long-established segment of our design practice."
Theodore Hammer, FAIA, LEED AP, who joined Mancini·Duffy/TSC in 2012, will become the firm's new president. "We are delighted and fortunate to have Ted assume that position," Schirripa said. "He is an established leader, with many years of experience, who enjoys a position of great respect in the professional community." Schirripa added that Hammer's expertise in architecture is especially valuable to the firm's growing body of work in that discipline.
The firm also promoted: Avery Miyasato Handy, CID, IIDA, who joined Mancini·Duffy/TSC as a senior designer in 1997 and Scott Harrell, LEED AP, who joined the firm as a project manager in 2004, have been named principals of the firm; and Eric Lahm, associate AIA; Ricardo Nabholz, LEED AP; Hannah Lee Hackathorn, LEED AP, and Michelle Walkowiak have been named associates.
"Professional development is integral to the firm's culture, because we believe in growing our leadership from within," Schirripa said. "It's an important measure of the success of our programs, seminars, workshops, and on-going mentoring that so many of our professionals are rising through the ranks."
