Manhattan, NY Lowenstein Sandler has expanded its real estate practice group with the addition of partner Julia Sanabria and new counsels Stephanie Felix and Abram Seaman-Baldaro. They will be based in the firm’s New York City office.

Sanabria represents clients in a wide range of real estate matters, with a particular focus on commercial leasing. Her clients include institutional and non-institutional clients in the leasing and subleasing of office and retail space throughout the U.S. She has experience with joint ventures, the origination and restructuring of mortgage and mezzanine loans, developments, and loan workouts; and she has negotiated commercial leases for a wide range of uses, including office, retail, medical, industrial, and studio.

A graduate of the University of Chicago School of Law, Sanabria has practiced with several top 10 Am Law 100 firms, as well as in-house at a Fortune 500 corporation. She currently serves on the board of directors for Creative Art Works, an organization that provides youth development through the arts to New York City children in under-resourced neighborhoods.

“Julia has closed deals in some of New York City’s most iconic spaces, and is widely recognized amongst lawyers, developers, and investors as one of the industry’s leading negotiators,” said John Stolz, chair of Lowenstein’s Real Estate practice group. “We are delighted to welcome her, as well as Stephanie and Abe, to our practice; the addition of these three talented lawyers multiplies and strengthens the many ways we can serve our real estate clients in New York City and nationally.”

Sanabria said “Lowenstein’s real estate practice lines up well with my own, which I expect will benefit greatly from the firm’s entrepreneurial and collaborative culture. Plus, I really, really like the people.”

Felix’s practice focuses on an extensive range of real estate matters, with a particular emphasis on commercial leasing involving office and apartment buildings, industrial properties, and shopping centers. She earned her law degree from Cornell Law School.

Seaman-Baldaro works on an extensive range of real estate matters, including leasing, joint ventures, property acquisitions and dispositions, mortgage and mezzanine financing (both borrower and lender-side), and developments. He earned his law degree from Columbia Law School.
