Lohneiss named L.I. region director by Empire State Development

The Empire State Development Corporation named Andrea Lohneiss, former community development director for Riverhead, director for the L.I. region. She received the nomination from Patrick Foye, ESD co-chairman. Lohneiss, who replaces Henry Mund, will be the economic development agency's dedicated L.I. person, and she will focus on working with local development agencies to foster economic growth within L.I.'s business community. She spent 20 years in Riverhead, working on projects including the development plan for Enterprise Park at Calverton, downtown revitalization initiatives and the development of 200 units of workforce housing.
