Commack, NY Healthcare provider Northwell Health has leased 2,500 s/f at Mayfair Shopping Center, where it plans to open a GoHealth walk-in urgent care facility. Levin Management of North Plainfield, N.J., exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 222,000 s/f property, orchestrated the long-term lease. Michael Stone of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant.

“Offering a convenient alternative to hospital emergency departments, Northwell’s GoHealth concept brings a valuable service to the community,” said E.J. Moawad, Levin’s leasing representative for Mayfair Shopping Center. “This lease illustrates the growing trend of medical service providers seeking space at successful retail properties. Northwell Health is expanding its urgent care services throughout the region, and Mayfair Shopping Center – with its proximity to a large residential population and a Rite Aid pharmacy onsite – was a perfect fit for the brand’s growth.”

Located directly on the heavily traveled Jericho Turnpike just east of the Sunken Meadow Parkway, Mayfair Shopping Center serves a growing residential population of more than 71,000 people within a three-mile radius. The marketplace offers an average household income of nearly $127,000, and the daily traffic count passing the property exceeds 29,000 vehicles.

Anchored by a Best Market supermarket and Stein Mart, Mayfair Shopping Center features an impressive lineup of national, regional and local tenants also including Gap/Gap Kids, MJM Designer Shoes, Loft, New York & Company, Jos. A. Bank, Sherwin Williams, Justice, GameStop, Chico’s, Capital One Bank, Claire’s Accessories, Outback Steakhouse, Tropical Smoothie Café and Choice Pet Supply, among others.
