LERA Consulting Structural Engineers acts as structural engineer for three projects honored with NYC Public Design Commission awards

New York, NY According to LERA Consulting Structural Engineers (LERA), they were structural engineer for three project award winners in the NYC Public Design Commission 39th Annual Awards for Excellence in Design.

The projects are the Public Health Laboratory at the Harlem Hospital Center, a project of the New York City Economic Development Corp., NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene with architecture firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Paradise Parados; Robert Wilson Sculpture Terrace at BAM Strong, a project of the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs and the Brooklyn Academy of Music designed by artist Teresita Fernández with Camber Studios; and the reconstruction of the Pool and Rink at the Harlem Meer, a project of the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation and the Central Park Conservancy with architects Susan Rodriguez Architecture & Design and Mitchell Giurgola.

The NYC Public Design Commission recognizes innovative public projects with its Annual Awards for Excellence in Design. The selected designs represent the wide range of proposals reviewed by the Commission the previous year, such as parks and streetscape reconstructions, artwork installations, infrastructure, prototypical designs, and large mixed-use developments.
