Lendlease celebrates opening of outdoor ice skating rink at Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes

Fort Drum, NY Lendlease yesterday celebrated the grand opening of an outdoor ice skating rink that will be a new “winter wonderland” amenity for service members and their families living in the Monument Ridge housing area at Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes in upstate New York. The rink was donated by John Tonelli, a four-time Stanley Cup champion and New York Hockey Hall of Famer.

Along with the ice rink – which is a first-of-its-kind amenity in Lendlease’s portfolio of privatized military housing communities – there is a new warming room and skate-changing area, all of which is adjacent to a sledding hill and dog park, creating a hub of winter activities for residents. Operated by Lendlease Communities as part of a privatized military housing portfolio that spans more than 40,000 residential units, Mountain Community Homes comprises four neighborhoods for service members and families stationed at Fort Drum, as well as an apartment complex dedicated to single and unaccompanied soldiers.

The rink, located near the sledding hill on Indigo Way, will be open for MCH residents from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., beginning Dec. 15. Skaters younger than 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Residents must bring their own skates to the rink.

The death of the generic offering memorandum: What buyers expect in 2025 - by Kimberly Zar Bloorian
