Leasing begins at Rose Assocs. and Battery Global
Advisor’s 440-unit Alexander Crossing

Yonkers, NY According to Rose Associates, pre-leasing is underway at Alexander Crossing. The newly constructed property, a development of Rose Associates and Battery Global Advisors, offers 440 apartments in studio-, one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations. Located at 57 Alexander St., the building is near the Metro North commuter rail and Amtrak train station.

Amy Rose, CEO of Rose Associates, said, “We are truly thrilled to begin leasing homes in this beautiful new property on the waterfront in downtown Yonkers. Alexander Crossing is amenity rich and it offers fantastic river views. In addition, the property is transit adjacent and residents will enjoy incredibly easy access to Amtrak and the Metro North commuter line as well as direct access to the Hudson River Pathway that leads to the neighborhood’s fantastic waterfront dining options.”

Alexander Crossing is on a four-acre parcel in a former warehouse district that was designated a Qualified Opportunity Zone in 2018. This designation advanced the feasibility of development along Alexander St. and, in 2020, developers razed an antiquated warehouse at the site to make way for the ground up development of this new, seven-story, luxury residential building. The property includes 40,000 s/f of outdoor amenity space including two courtyards featuring a gaming area, outdoor heated swimming pool, barbeque stations, seating, and lush landscaping.

Apartments at Alexander Crossing feature quartz countertops with tile backsplash, moveable islands, deep sinks and stainless appliances. Baths are equipped with tile floors and custom, quartz vanities. Each home has individually controlled heating and cooling, dedicated clothes washer and vented dryers, and operable windows. Many apartments offer double primary suites, which allow for exceptional space and two private sleeping areas.

Alexander Crossing has a robust, in-building amenity package including a two-story club space and coworking lounge with broad river views, a screening room and a gaming room with foosball, air hockey, card tables and arcade games. There is also a fitness center furnished with strength and cardio equipment as well as a dedicated class space. The parking garage is equipped with electric charging stations.

Along with market rate apartments, Alexander Crossing offers a selection of 18 affordable apartments that will be discounted for those meeting certain requirements. In addition to Alexander Crossing in Yonkers, Rose Associates is nearing completion at Hamilton Crossing, a multi-family property at 440 Hamilton Avenue in White Plains that is currently leasing 468 apartments. Rose is also in the early stages of a mixed-use development in Port Chester that will offer 775 apartments.
