Lang Architecture names Cox of TOWN Residential as agent for Hudson Woods, a sustainable development project

March 24, 2014 - Green Buildings
Lang Architecture has named James Cox Jr. of TOWN Residential as the exclusive sales agent for Hudson Woods, a sustainably-designed new development project featuring just 26 custom residences in the Hudson River Valley-Catskill region. Sales launched with immediate velocity and with Cox newly on board the momentum is expected to continue into the spring.
"Hudson Woods is a truly unique project, one that is sure to bring a sea-change to the area, and I am thrilled to be leading the sales program," said Cox, an associate broker at TOWN Residential. "No other development in the area offers such cutting-edge new design, private amenities and high-caliber service - at attainable prices. Hudson Woods is the complete package."
Spread across 131 acres of lush, old-growth forest, each home at Hudson Woods is architect-designed and meticulously crafted from locally-sourced and sustainable materials. Buyers select from a range of three- to 12-acre lots and can customize their property inside and out. The base house plan is 2,800 square feet with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a detached garage/studio, with handcrafted finishes including custom mahogany windows, rift and quartersawn white oak flooring, doors, paneling and cabinetry; solid bronze hardware; concrete countertops; cedar siding and decking; metal roofing; and stacked stone retaining walls, hand-laid with stone found onsite. House upgrades, including an additional bedroom, floor and bathroom; kitchen island and pantry; and custom floor color, are available for an additional cost, in addition to generators, solar panels and hydronic in-floor heating.
What's more, homeowners can personalize their lifestyle at Hudson Woods with an array of unique amenities. Site upgrades, also available for an additional cost, include an electric car charger, architect-designed treehouse and children's playhouse, pool, pool house with sauna, guest house, green house, screen porch with outdoor cooking facilities, and expertly curated fruit grove and vegetable garden. A property manager is available to handle residents' each and every need, such as pet care, travel arrangements, food shopping and planning recreational activities. The service platform at Hudson Woods even accommodates part-time residents, as the property manager can coordinate rentals throughout the year and tend your fruit tree grove or vegetable garden while you're away - they'll even ship your produce to you.
"We are extremely excited to be working with James and his team at TOWN," said Drew Lang, founder of Lang Architecture, developer and designer of Hudson Woods. "So far, the response to Hudson Woods has been overwhelming."
Cox possesses vast local, domestic and international real estate expertise. Prior to joining TOWN, James ran his own real estate firm and served as Director of Residential Development, Sales & Marketing for Capital Partners in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where his team generated more than $200 million in annual sales.
In recent years, the Hudson River Valley-Catskills region has become one of the fastest growing second-home markets in New York and a vacation destination coveted for its outdoor recreation and diverse cultural attractions, and Hudson Woods is perfectly situated at the center of it all. Homeowners will enjoy easy access to abundant opportunities for skiing, kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, biking and golfing, with Hunter Mountain Ski Resort, Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Preserve are all within 40 miles. Many quaint towns, such as Stoneridge, New Paltz, Woodstock and Rhinebeck, surround Hudson Woods and are filled with unique shopping, culinary destinations and historic sites.
