Kraut of Avison Young awarded CRE designation

According to Avison Young, one of the world's fastest-growing commercial real estate services firms, principal Greg Kraut was awarded the CRE accreditation by the Counselors of Real Estate, the prestigious membership organization established exclusively for the recognition and advancement of the commercial real estate industry's most trusted advisors, who adhere to a strict code of ethics and standards of professional practice. Membership in the organization is extended by invitation only, with prospective members recommended by their peers, clients and employers based on their outstanding professional achievement, judgment and commitment to integrity. Individuals are considered for membership twice annually, with the accreditation awarded to only a select few. The designation is in recognition of their role in providing valuable and meaningful real estate counseling services to their clients and employer. "Greg's CRE accreditation reflects Avison Young's commitment to professional development, and dedication to the highest standards of professional conduct," said Arthur Mirante, Avison Young principal and Tri-State president. "Greg's reputation as a trusted advisor extends beyond the traditional role of a transactional professional, and ensures that our interests are always aligned with that of our clients. Learning is a cornerstone of our firm, and we are pleased to have our professionals recognized by organizations such as Counselors of Real Estate." "Avison Young is committed to the development of best practices, and the CRE certification is indicative of our focus on serving as an advisor to our clients, providing best-in-class service and building long-term client relationships," comments Kraut. Kraut joined Avison Young in September 2011 as managing director in the firm's New York office. Working with senior management, he helped establish the firm's local corporate infrastructure and grow the company's presence in the Tri-State region through business acquisitions and top-tier recruiting. As a senior broker, Kraut specializes in tenant representation including acquisition, disposition and strategic planning for local and multi-market clients. He also has experience in the evaluation and underwriting of office properties for individual, private equity and institutional owners. Throughout his 17-year career, Kraut has successfully represented tenants in excess of four million square feet. His professional credentials include SIOR, NAIOP committee member, CoreNet committee member, AIPAC Real Estate Division Executive Council member and B'nai B'rith Real Estate Board member
