Kishnani has 12 years of experience in transportation engineering, primarily in the area of transportation planning for major event facilities, including stadiums and arenas. He has helped improve the pedestrian, vehicular traffic, and parking operations at over a dozen professional and collegiate sports facilities. He has helped develop standard operations plans that help improve ingress and egress, increase fan retention, and lead to better coordination between event day operations entities.
Kishnani is also a pioneer in the area of micro-simulation modeling for large-scale events. He has developed a prototype emergency evacuation model that accurately shows the interaction between tens of thousands of pedestrians, passenger cars, and transit vehicles in the area around a stadium following a sporting event. The model has been used to develop a formal evacuation plan and to help prioritize the utilization of traffic management resources.
A Professional Traffic Operations Engineer and LEED Accredited Professional, Kishnani has also been a guest speaker at the Sports Management program at Columbia University. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering at the City College of New York.
Stantec's Manhattan office employs over 140 engineers, architects, and other design professionals.
