New York, NY According to the Greater New York chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), Seth Pinsky, an executive vice president at RXR Realty, will be the recipient of their Real Estate Person of the Year Award.
Pinsky leads RXR’s investment efforts in emerging opportunities in the New York region. Previously, Pinsky directed mayor Bloomberg’s Special Initiative for Rebuilding and Resiliency, which developed a $20 billion climate change plan for the city. Pinsky also served as NYC Economic Development Corp. president from 2008 to 2013. Prior to NYCEDC, Pinsky was an associate at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton and an analyst at James D. Wolfensohn Inc. He graduated from Columbia College and Harvard Law.

The event was a sporting clay shoot, was held at Mid-Hudson Sporting Clays in New Paltz. On November 13th IREM NYC will hold a breakfast meeting panel, “In Case of Emergency.” The event will be held at The Union League Club, 38 East 37th St. As property and asset managers, there’s a lot to do think about for the day-to-day operation of their buildings. It’s also a critical part of their job to plan and be prepared for any and all types of disruption. How do you prepare? What do you need to do? How does NYC prepare for any form of disaster?
