Orange County Partnership's new board members for 2014

Alan Marks, chairman of the board of the Orange County Partnership, revealed the addition of distinguished business professionals to the board of directors. Marks said "Our newest members have consistently shown a commitment to economic development and their knowledge and skills will undoubtedly strengthen our ability to keep Orange County competitive." Newly named to the Orange County Partnership board of directors are: Dennis Barnett, president of "Propinquity Associates" Business and Management Consulting, is the former Director of Technology for the Champion International Corporation and Vice-President of the New York City Transit Authority managing its quality, testing and inspection functions. Dennis currently teaches undergraduate courses in organizational leadership at Marist College and the Culinary Institute of America. He has served on and chaired a number of corporate boards and recently chaired the Orange County Capital Development Corporation that cultivated public/private partnerships to help entrepreneurs build their business in Orange County. Timothy Cawley is president and CEO of Orange & Rockland Utilities, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Consolidated Edison, Inc. Prior to being named President and CEO, Tim was the senior Vice-President of Central Operations for the Consolidated Edison Company of New York. His responsibilities included the planning, design, operation and maintenance of the electrical transmission system, the company's primary control center and electric substations, electric and steam generating plants, the steam system, and engineering and construction activities. Tim recently served on the Board of Directors of the South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation. F. Edward Devitt, a lifelong resident of Orange County, is the founder and broker of Devitt Real Estate that specializes in land subdivisions, the development of single-family dwellings and apartment complexes to contribute to the growth of the Village of Montgomery. Additionally, Ed founded numerous county based corporations including Devitt Management & Associates, Winding Hills Golf Course and Springhouse Apartments. In addition to his previous tenure on the Orange County Partnership Board, Ed has served as the Director of the New York Business Development Corporation, the Orange County Citizens Foundation and the Orange County Water Authority among others. Jonah Mandelbaum, CEO of Warwick Properties, Inc, a development corporation, nurtured his love for building through his involvement in a family-owned cabinet business. In 1984, Jonah settled in Warwick and established MJJ Builders. A successful builder of luxury single‐family homes, in 1995, Jonah expanded into building affordable multi‐family housing for senior citizens. In addition to Warwick Properties, Jonah is CEO of MJJ Builders Corp. and Devon Management. Jonah has also served on the Boards of Trustees for the Winslow Therapeutic Center, The Hudson Valley Home Builders' Association and St. Anthony's Community Hospital and maintains a current position on the Orange County Water Authority. Steven Neuhaus was elected Orange County Executive in November, 2013. Steve achieved his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mount Saint Mary College and his Masters in Public Administration from Marist College. He has management experience in both the public and private sector as the Chester Town Supervisor, Chester Councilman and Vice-President of Special Projects for Taylor Recycling. Steve is involved in a variety of volunteer organizations and is an officer in the Navy reserve assigned to the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command. Senior Partners Alteva, Inc.
