Kapnick and Tannor join Lee & Associates NYC as executive vice presidents and principals, forming the KT Group

Manhattan, NY Lee & Associates NYC has added two retail veterans: Mark Kapnick, former senior vice president at SRS Real Estate Partners, and Greg Tannor, a former director at Cushman & Wakefield. Kapnick and Tannor will join Lee NYC as executive vice presidents and principals, forming the KT Group.

Kapnick has 25 years in retail leasing and investment sales, specializing in hospitality. He has represented many landlords and has completed more than 2 million s/f of leasing and investment sales. As a top producing broker at SRS, Kapnick most recently arranged the leasing of 60,000 s/f at the base of The Moinian Group’s building, Sky. Kapnick was also awarded REBNY’s “Most Significant Retail Deal of the Year” award in 2014 on behalf of Equity Office for Redefining Bryant Park, The Creation of a New Retail District with his former team. 

Tannor, a former director at Cushman & Wakefield, has 17 years of experience in commercial real estate, specializing in retail leasing, investment sales, and office leasing. In one of his most notable transactions, he secured the lease between ownership and Tesla Motors for its new global flagship location. Tannor has also represented such key brands as Elie Saab, JC Penny, SoulCycle, and Primark in its 100,000 s/f transaction at the American Dream Project.

Kapnick and Tannor’s KT Group will be responsible for continuing the growth of Lee NYC’s metro business. They will also focus on both tenant and landlord representation in an effort to strategically grow the platform.

Kapnick said, “Greg and I have been putting together our business plan for the KT Group for some time. We wanted to find a firm where we felt we could thrive, be around like-minded, accomplished deal makers from a strategic view and we’re certain we can do that at Lee. We look forward to working with a great team spearheaded by Peter Braus, and using our knowledge and experience to help further Lee’s initiatives, but more importantly giving owners another alternative, being a very seasoned group of professionals they can turn to with their valuable assets.”

Kapnick and Tannor assumed their new roles on April 17, 2017.
