CIREB and NYSAR bring NAR Green Commercial Elective course to Upstate

CIREB, in partnership with NYSAR will bring the NAR Green Commercial Elective course to Upstate New York. NAR's decision to develop a green designation program is the result of many months of market consideration and evaluation. NAR found that there is a growing demand for REALTORS to understand green, how green is transforming the needs and concerns of buyers and sellers, as well as how Realtors can adopt and implement green practices in their day-to-day businesses. The instructor for the course is Edward Smith, Jr., CREI, ITI, CIC, GREEN, RECS. Green Commercial Elective Course NYS Approved CE Credit: 6 hours This course will cover, in depth, a comprehensive understanding of commercial green building principles, products and practices. This course will also cover trends in sustainable commercial property; the broker's role in sustainable commercial property; certifications and ratings; advanced green practices and systems; information on how to improve and sustain existing buildings; and valuation and financing of sustainable commercial property.
