IBEX Construction completes 18,400 s/f training center project

IBEX Construction (IBEX), a New York-based firm specializing in high-end retail, corporate and institutional construction, has completed work on a new 18,400 s/f training center for Global Knowledge, a leading provider of IT and business training services for major companies such as Cisco, Microsoft, IBM, and Sun. IBEX provided construction management services for the property, which is located on the 23rd floor of One State Street Plaza and features a new reception area, IT training facilities, numerous multi-media vocational study rooms, an internet café, offices, a break room, a workroom/shipping area and new restrooms. "The new training center at One State Street is a state-of-the-art facility that will strengthen Global Knowledge's ability to deliver world-class IT and business training services," said Andy Frankl, chairman and CEO of IBEX Construction. "Students will appreciate the many new features aimed at enhancing their learning experience." Designed by the Gurlitz Architectural Group of Durham, North Carolina, the project also entailed a complete new elevator lobby and reception area, as well as executive offices.
