Herzbach named to the board of the Long Island Real Estate Group

Richard Herzbach has been named to the board of the Long Island Real Estate Group (LIREG). Herzbach is a partner in the Condominium and Cooperative Law Department at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP.   Chairman of the Homeowners Association Subcommittee of the New York State Bar Association's Real Property Law Section Committee on Condominiums and Cooperatives, Herzbach also serves on the Bar Association's liaison committee with the attorney general of the State of New York and was appointed to the New York State attorney general's Task Force to revise the Condominium Act of the State of New York.   He is also a member of both the Law Committee of the Associated Builders of New York and past president of the board of directors of the Long Island Chapter of CORENET, Corporate Real Estate Network. He earned his juris doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law, where he is now an adjunct professor of law.

When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
