RexCorp hosts L.I. Achievement Awards Dinner - January 31

RexCorp Realty LLC (RexCorp) hosted its annual Long Island Achievement Awards Dinner at the Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove, New York, on January 31. Attended by Long Island's most prominent real estate executives, the event is widely acknowledged as the region's most highly anticipated annual industry gathering. Awards were presented in three categories to five individual brokers whose successes and achievements working with RexCorp throughout 2007 and beyond have reverberated throughout the market. "It is a pleasure to welcome such a distinguished group of Long Island's top brokerage leaders and to recognize and pay tribute to this year's many successes with us," said Scott Rechler, RexCorp's CEO in the opening remarks to the evening. "Relationships are paramount in our business and we recognize that our victories owe much to the professionalism and dedication shown by each and every one of you." "We enjoyed strong leasing activity in 2007," said Ken Bauer, senior vice president and director of leasing for Long Island. "In total, we concluded 693,153 s/f consisting of 83 transactions. We are well positioned to create, with your continued support, an extraordinary new history in achievements across Long Island as we continue to lead as the regional 'Landlord of Choice'." In the category of Broker of the Year, John LaRuffa of NAI Long Island was thanked for his activities on behalf of RexCorp, leasing a total of 38,000 s/f of office space at RexCorp Plaza, 300 Motor Parkway, 58 South Service Rd. and 6800 North Shore Atrium. Brian Lee and Mark Weiss, both of Newmark Knight Frank, each received an award for Deal of the Year for structuring the long-term renewal with Long Island's largest legal services firm, Rivkin Radler at RexCorp Plaza for 79,125 s/f. Finally, Herbert Agin, CEO and Alan Rosenberg, president of Sutton & Edwards were each extolled for their services to RexCorp with awards for Lifetime Achievement.
