Haynes and Boone welcomes Sarcinella

Manhattan, NY According to Haynes and Boone, LLP, transactional partner Joe Sarcinella has joined the firm’s New York City office. Sarcinella joins from Reed Smith, where he has spent the last eight years including serving as the chair of the real estate practice group.

Over the course of his career, Sarcinella has helped execute over $200 billion in transactions representing banking and private equity clients. His practice includes the real estate and finance aspects of large, highly structured M&A transactions.

“The people throughout Haynes and Boone are open, honest and transparent amongst one another and with their clients,” Sarcinella said. “My practice aligns perfectly with the firm’s platform, and I look forward to continuing to provide exceptional service and strategic guidance to our clients.”

Sarcinella primarily practices in cross-border real estate finance, structured finance and consortium lending, with everything from ground-up construction to stabilized properties. Joe has advised on buyer- and seller-side debt sales, including co-lender and intercreditor agreement negotiations and has served as debt counsel on both the borrower and lender side of transactions.

He is also experienced in loan workouts, restructurings, and foreclosures.

“The addition of Joe to Haynes and Boone brings a wealth of expertise that will significantly bolster our firm’s capabilities, especially in our growing New York office,” Haynes and Boone New York office managing partner Craig Unterberg said. “We believe his contributions will play a pivotal role in advancing multiple practices within our firm.”

Sarcinella is the third recent lateral hire to join Haynes and Boone in New York City office, joining insurance recovery partner Peter Halprin and finance counsel Leel Sinai.
