Poughkeepsie, NY The Chazen Cos. has opened a new branch office, and welcomes an experienced local engineer to manage the office.

Eric Haslam, P.E. has joined Chazen as director of engineering services and Central New York office manager. Haslam is a licensed professional engineer with nearly 20 years of municipal engineering experience.

“Expanding into Central New York is a logical next step for Chazen as we branch out beyond our roots in the Hudson Valley,” said Chazen’s president, Mark Kastner, P.E. “We are excited about bringing Chazen’s breadth of services to Central New York, and we are confident in Eric’s ability to establish and grow a highly-successful branch office to serve our clients in the region.  We look forward to being part of the Central New York community for many years to come.”

Haslam has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resource and Forest Engineering, cum laude, from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse. Throughout his career , Haslam has been active in a number of professional organizations, including the American Water Works Association and the New York Water Environment Association.

Founded over 65 years ago, The Chazen Companies is an employee-owned professional services firm with an accomplished staff of over 100, including 40 licensed or certified employees and 20 LEED Accredited Professionals.
