The board of commissioners of the Greenlawn Water District decided to include a "green" component to their new wellhead treatment project. H2M included the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof of Plant Number 11. The photovoltaic design consisted of a 6 KW system which qualified for a LIPA rebate of $27,000. This system is expected to reduce the district's electric bills by $1,500 per year.
