GreenbergFarrow hires Loikits as a design studio director in NYC office

Scott Loikits, AIA, LEED AP has joined the New York City office of GreenbergFarrow as design studio director. GreenbergFarrow is a nationally recognized architecture, engineering and development services firm. Loikits will play a key management role at the studio, with duties including design overview on a local, nation and international level. "Scott Loikits is an exemplary architect whose impressive portfolio includes projects throughout the world," said Hughes Thompson, managing principal at GreenbergFarrow. "He has held leadership positions at nearly every firm he has worked at throughout his 15-year career. With a wealth of experience in all major property categories, Scott will play a critical role in the growth of GreenbergFarrow's New York City office." He joins GreenbergFarrow from Peter Pran + H Architects LLC, where he served as a design principal. He led design teams on domestic and international projects, including residential towers, office buildings, retail and mixed-use developments. He also held positions at several well-known architecture firms in New York City, including Cooper Robertson & Partners and Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates PC, where he worked for 10 years and became associate principal. Loikits was also the first new employee of SAMOO Architecture, a start-up formed as an offshoot of a large Korean design/build firm. Throughout his career, Loikits has amassed a portfolio of prestigious projects, including work on both the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Museum of Modern Art renovation in New York City. He also played leadership roles in the design of Seoul City Hall in South Korea and at Marina West, a large-scale waterfront development in Abu Dhabi. Loikits holds a bachelor of arts degree in architecture from Washington University and earned a master's degree in architecture from Columbia University.
