Greater New York IREM holds annual golf outing at Harbor Links

The Greater New York chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) held their annual golf outing in late June at Harbor Links. The chapter will also hold the following upcoming events: * The rivalry continues...the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees! Whichever team you root for, join IREM on Thursday, August 6th at Yankee Stadium for an evening of fun, food and, of course, baseball! Tickets are $110 each and include an all you can eat buffet dinner, soft drinks and semi-private space seating in sections 133 and 134. The party begins when gates open at 5 p.m. Tickets are limited - first come, first served! * Ethics for the Real Estate Manager on November 9th from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Knickerbocker Plaza,1751 Second Ave. Cost for members is $185 and non-members are $230. Addressing ethical dilemmas commonly faced by today's real estate managers, this media-based course teaches strategies for resolving ethical dilemmas and adherence to the IREM Code of Professional Ethics, culminating in an exam to earn IREM credentialing credit. What you will learn: * IREM Code of Professional Ethics: Applications to real world situations, ethical duties to clients, tenants/residents, employers, and colleagues. * Ethical decision making: Ethical vs. unethical business practices, tactics for resolving ethical dilemmas, scenarios with ethical implications. * Conflict of interest: Fiduciary relationships, conflict of interest scenarios. * Detailed case study: Enforcement of the IREM Code of Professional Ethics, the role of the IREM ethics committee, review of actual ethics cases and their implications How you will benefit: * Conduct business using the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. * Resolve conflicts efficiently and ethically.
