Giscombe Realty hires Smith as broker

According to Giscombe Realty Group LLC, the firm has hired Brian Smith as a broker. Most recently Smith worked as a contracts administrator for the television and film industry at NBC Universal Studios, where he worked in the studio production services department. He oversaw the production of office leases, post production facility and services agreements and production facility rental agreements for feature films and television programs, music videos, commercials and still shoot photography. He has also held high level jobs with Merck, Sharpe & Dome as a pharmaceutical specialist, with Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor and with Halliburton in the Middle East as a contracts manager. He also worked as a sales executive with Hilton Grand Vacations in New York City. Smith is a retired US Army major with over 20 years of military service. He was a highly decorated officer who was part of an elite team (Special Operations Forces). He received a bronze star from Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield in the Gulf War. He also speaks Spanish and Arabic and volunteers with several charity organizations specializing in helping veterans find jobs and places to live. The Bronx resident has a bachelor of science degree in International Studies from Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia. He also attended the New York Film Academy in Universal Studios, in Los Angeles, CA. where he majored in filmmaking.
