According to Halstead Property, 123 West 79th St. has been sold for $8.55 million. The small office building was sold to Maria USA. The seller is Westland Industries of Long Beach, Calif.
The client was brought to the commercial division by Halstead residential agent Michelle Kim in the winter of 2009. The client, a South Korean Medical Group, had very specific needs: an Upper West Side commercial condo or an elevator townhouse that could be delivered vacant and/or be converted to a medical office building.
Tito Ghose and Ryan Gessin from Halstead Commercial Division along with Kim were the brokers involved with the sale. The extensive work led to Kim becoming a member of the commercial division.
Halstead represented both the buyer and seller.
